The 4-H program provides opportunities for all youth ages 5–18 to participate in innovative, fun programs through which they can develop valuable, lifelong skills. Today, 4-H in the United States involves 7 million youth, 50 million alumni, and more than 1,000 learn-by-doing programs ranging from robotics and biotechnology to skateboarding and agriculture.
In Gooding County more than 300 4-Hers are learning valuable skills, having fun, making new friends and solving problems in a variety of topic areas. They are earning awards and recognition and practicing citizenship. Youth are developing leadership abilities and making a difference in our community.

We have several programs related to dairy and beef production. We offer trainings (both programmed area trainings and on-demand) in the areas of milking, raising dairy calves, dairy feeders, farm safety, dairy and beef production environmental management, composting, air quality, waste management, Beef Quality Assurance, and other topics related to dairy and beef production.
